All-New Ram 1500 Pickup For Sale in Lake Orion, MI

The 2019 Ram 1500, which made its debut in nearby Detroit at the 2018 North American International Auto Show, has been given a fresh new redesign that's drawing rave reviews from the automotive press -- and, more importantly, our customers. Longer, stronger, yet lighter than previous versions, this rugged truck has a sculpted exterior that presents the long-time favorite in a whole new light.

Fresh New Styling

Frankly, it's hard to miss the significant change to the nose of the pickup, as the grille is narrower and bookended by slimmer headlights. Speaking of headlights, there are three types available: LED, halogen, and LED with adaptive front lighting. Owners also have multiple wheel options from which to choose, helping to personalize the truck to your tastes. Available in either Crew Cab or Quad Cab bodies, the truck can be equipped with either a 5'7" bed or a 6'4" bed.

Each trim level boasts its own specific interior design, with all of them offering a reorganized flow where the controls are easily-accessible.

Performance

Your choices extend under the hood, too. The standard 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine features an eTorque mild hybrid system that produces 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. An available 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 gasoline engine makes 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, while the available 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 with eTorque generates those same performance numbers and offers a best-in-class V8 max towing capacity of 12,750 pounds.

The Ram 1500 features a class-exclusive standard TorqueFlite® eight-speed automatic transmission to optimize gear shift changes and deliver greater performance, efficiency and drivability. The truck can be equipped with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, though we do suggest opting for all-wheel drive and the better control that it provides in poor conditions.

Available features include wireless charging, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ connectivity, leather seating and a 19-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system. One of our favorite available options is the RamBox® cargo management system, which offers a safe, secure place to store your most commonly-used tools.

The 2019 Ram 1500 is offered in six trim levels:

  • Ram 1500 Tradesman is the base model, and comes equipped with the standard features we've already discussed.
  • Ram 1500 Big Horn adds a power-adjustable driver's seat to the features found on the Tradesman.
  • Ram 1500 Rebel is an off-road focused model that includes standard four-wheel drive, a 115-volt power outlet, and Bilstein shocks, among other off-road specific features.

  • Safety

Standard safety features include that rearview camera, plus six airbags. The frame, constructed with 98 percent high-strength steel, makes this model the strongest Ram 1500 to date, and the 14.9-inch brakes are the largest offered in class.

Discover How the Ram 1500 Pickup Compares to The Chevrolet Silverado and Ford F-150

We know how important it is to our customers that they find a truck they can count on. With so many options available, though, it can be pretty tricky to determine which one is the right one for you. That's why we put together this handy comparison page, where we put the Ram 1500 pickup up against two of its more popular rivals -- the Chevrolet Silverado and the Ford F-150. Read on to see how things turned out.

    Ram 1500 vs. Chevrolet Silverado

    Price

    • You're going to have to pay a whole lot more for the base Silverado than you would to get the introductory Ram 1500, if you examine each vehicle's Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price.
    • Fuel efficiency is basically a wash, as the EPA estimates that the Silverado gets better mileage in the city driving while the Ram 1500 earns better highway ratings.

    Performance

    • The standard 3.6-liter V6 engine offered for most of the Ram 1500 trim levels produces 20 more horsepower than the Silverado's standard 4.3-liter V6 engine.
    • The Ram 1500 also offers available 5.7-liter V8 and 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engines, while the Silverado has two V8 gas engines as upgrades.
    • The EcoDiesel V6 that's available for the Ram 1500 pairs the segment's best fuel efficiency with 420 pound-feet of torque, providing an ideal balance of performance and economy.

    Features

    • Both trucks come with standard features like 12V DC power outlets, a driver information center, and AM/FM/satellite-ready radio.
    • The Ram 1500 comes with a standard auto-dimming rearview mirror and an available compass, which the Silverado doesn't offer.
    • The Ram 1500 offers a class-exclusive RamBox® Cargo Management System built into the bed rails, serving as an ideal and secure spot to keep tools you use regularly.

    Safety

    • The Silverado and the Ram 1500 both include such standard safety features as Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), tire-pressure monitoring, and multiple airbags.
    • The Ram 1500 also offers available ParkSense® front and rear parking assistance, which can't be added to the Silverado at all.

    Ram 1500 vs. Ford F-150

    Price

    • The Ram 1500 comes in at a lower starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price than the F-150 does, saving you money from the start.
    • The Ram 1500 includes standard features that cost more to get on the F-150, making it a much better value to begin with.

    Performance

    • The standard 3.6-liter V6 engine found in the Ram 1500 makes 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque, besting the 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque produced by the F-150's standard 3.3-liter V6.
    • The Ram can be equipped with an available 5.7-liter V8 engine or a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine; the Ford has available 2.7-liter V6 and 5.0-liter V8 engines.
    • The Ram 1500 pairs all three engines to an 8-speed automatic transmission, while Ford has a standard 6-speed automatic.

    Features

    • Both trucks come stocked with such amenities as a rearview camera, power steering, auto-off headlights, and an anti-theft system.
    • However, the base model Ram 1500 also comes with standard features that are only offered as costly options for the base F-150, like power mirrors, cruise control, auxiliary audio input, and an MP3 player.
    • The Ram 1500 also offers the available, and exclusive, RamBox® Cargo Management System.

    Safety

    • Both trucks offer standard traction control, Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), brake assist, electronic stability control, advanced multistage airbags, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
    • The Ram 1500 also includes standard child door locks and an engine immobilizer; these features can't be added to the base F-150.
