3800 South Lapeer Rd
Lake Orion, MI 48359
The 2019 Ram 1500, which made its debut in nearby Detroit at the 2018 North American International Auto Show, has been given a fresh new redesign that's drawing rave reviews from the automotive press -- and, more importantly, our customers. Longer, stronger, yet lighter than previous versions, this rugged truck has a sculpted exterior that presents the long-time favorite in a whole new light.

Frankly, it's hard to miss the significant change to the nose of the pickup, as the grille is narrower and bookended by slimmer headlights. Speaking of headlights, there are three types available: LED, halogen, and LED with adaptive front lighting. Owners also have multiple wheel options from which to choose, helping to personalize the truck to your tastes. Available in either Crew Cab or Quad Cab bodies, the truck can be equipped with either a 5'7" bed or a 6'4" bed.
Each trim level boasts its own specific interior design, with all of them offering a reorganized flow where the controls are easily-accessible.
Your choices extend under the hood, too. The standard 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine features an eTorque mild hybrid system that produces 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. An available 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 gasoline engine makes 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, while the available 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 with eTorque generates those same performance numbers and offers a best-in-class V8 max towing capacity of 12,750 pounds.
The Ram 1500 features a class-exclusive standard TorqueFlite® eight-speed automatic transmission to optimize gear shift changes and deliver greater performance, efficiency and drivability. The truck can be equipped with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, though we do suggest opting for all-wheel drive and the better control that it provides in poor conditions.

Even the base Ram 1500 pickup comes loaded with such standard features as 18-inch wheels, trailer sway control, active grille shutters, a rearview camera, push-button start, electronic parking brake assist, and the 5-inch Uconnect infotainment system. Available features include wireless charging, Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ connectivity, leather seating and a 19-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system. One of our favorite available options is the RamBox® cargo management system, which offers a safe, secure place to store your most commonly-used tools.
The 2019 Ram 1500 is offered in six trim levels:
Standard safety features include that rearview camera, plus six airbags. The frame, constructed with 98 percent high-strength steel, makes this model the strongest Ram 1500 to date, and the 14.9-inch brakes are the largest offered in class.
